| || Job Purpose:
The Operations Manager is responsible for delivering operational excellence within their location. The Operations Manager has full accountability for ensuring costs, internal metrics, safety and product availability measures are met across their distribution location and for delivering an exceptional level of service to customers and branches.
•Accountable for ensuring company operating metrics within the distribution centre are delivered, including jobs per vehicle, gate time, stock utilisation, customer deliveries/collections and T&R levels.
•Ensure distribution centre costs are managed to budget, with appropriate colleague rota planning and scheduling to meet anticipated activity levels.
•Ensure appropriate training plans are in place for all colleagues to ensure their skill and competence meet their job role requirements.
•Ensure the distribution centre operates safely and that all colleagues are aware of their personal obligations and commitment to being serious about safety.
•Promote teamwork and collaboration across all locations.
•Ensure personal and collective actions taken within the distribution centre are in the best interest of the Company as a whole.
•Ensure company policy and processes are implemented and adhered to.
•Lead coach and motivate a team of colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service.
•Ensure regular performance reviews are undertaken with colleagues within the LDC.
•Ensure the distribution centre complies with internal audit processes and stock take procedures.
•mprove the operational effectiveness and efficiency of the distribution centre and develop a culture of operational excellence.
•Ensure all equipment within the distribution centre meets safety standards and is 'fit for hire’.
•Develop and maintain relationships with a number of key and regional customers.
•Ensure compliance with all systems, procedures and processes.
•Ensure compliance to HSS Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures (including O-License obligations).
•Represent the company and values ("HSSness") of the business and portray a professional and business-like image to all customers, potential customers and other people you meet in the course of your work.
•Be a key driver in serious about safety by leading from the front.
•Ensure all locations and company vehicles are maintained to our 360? brand.
