| || Job Title: Depot Foreman
Reports to: Regional Engineering Manager
UK Platforms is a leading national rental company, backed by the HSS Hire Group with the ability to supply and support the full range of the latest powered access equipment to meet our customers' needs for service, stability, safety and added value.
As a Depot Foreman you will assist in the smooth and efficient day to day running of the engineering function within a depot. You will work flexibly as a member of the team and provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
•You will take full responsibility for the management of the engineers at your depot.
•Working closely with the Depot Manager you will plan and implement the daily, weekly and long term availability of equipment required for hire.
•Ensure that customer service standards are maintained to a high standard.
•Direct, develop, motivate & support all reports ensuring that the business objectives are met.
•You are responsible for a pre-determined level of equipment available for hire at all times.
•You are responsible for supplying all costings for damage charges to the Damage and Dirty Department within 24 hours of the damage being reported.
•You are responsible for planned maintenance and servicing by engineering teams in depot to ensure supply of reliable equipment.
•Ensure all aspects of housekeeping are maintained to the highest standard both in yard, office, depot
•You will order and maintain effective levels of parts, services and consumables. Ensuring engineering teams are supplied with relevant spares to complete assigned tasks in a planned and timely manner.
•You will be Instrumental in ensuring all staff and sub-contractors are working safely and effectively whether in our premises at our request. This will be assisted by risk assessment and method statement procedures.
•You will comply with all company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
•You will adhere to the service budgets set by management within your direct control.
•Work closely with the Technical Director /H,S & E Manager/ REM on reporting and major repair costs /timing.
•Carry out other tasks as and when required.
•Experience in maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment
•Manual handling awareness
•Strong communication skills
•Experience working in a similar industry
•Product knowledge including powered access range
•IPAF operators certificate 3A and 3B
