The Legal Counsel Employment must be able to advise on and set strategy in all sorts of individual employment cases such as long term illness cases, poor performance cases and redundancies. This also includes advising on disciplinary actions, excluding those cases where summary dismissal or a suspension from work may be necessary. These matters are often set in an international context and advising on questions relating to internationally mobile employees, for example relating to the end of assignment and international transfers, are included.
To independently provide timely, professional and practical legal advice
Advise on and set strategy in individual cases relating to illness, poor performance and redundancies (including ventilation)
Prepare files for litigation
Advise on all HR operational matters relating to employees
Advise on disciplinary measures (not including summary dismissal and suspension from work) and draft or check relevant documentation
Advise on queries around application of policies, including international mobility policies
Advise on data privacy issues relating to employee data
