We have a focus on safe, dependable energy generation and an ethos of service excellence. We intend to play a leading role in new nuclear build in the UK and secure a ‘bright’ future for the combined business and its employees. |
| || As one of the UK’s largest energy companies, there’s a huge amount of opportunity available for finance professionals here. Our Finance Division comprises various business units, including, Customers, Generation, Nuclear New Build and Corporate Finance. Each of these has its own challenges and rewards – and each will help you to build a well-rounded skill set. At EDF Energy our finance professionals are seen as part of the wider business team. And wherever you go, you’ll learn how energy markets work, the challenges we face as an industry and the actions we need to take to overcome them. |
| || Our Finance Graduate Programme will give you all the preparation you need for a highly successful finance career at the pinnacle of the energy sector – including a top chartered accounting qualification. |
| || You will work your way through a series of job rotations, spending time in a variety of business units, at different locations, to build a rounded view of finance at EDF Energy. Just as importantly, you’ll gain broader insights into how energy markets work, the challenges we face as an industry and the actions we need to take to overcome them. All the while, you’ll have the support you need to study for the CIMA professional qualification.
Finance graduates are expected to be flexible throughout their time on the scheme and should expect to be based at any of our UK offices including Croydon, East Kilbride, Barnwood, London and Rainton Bridge or even at one of our power stations.
| || The precise nature of your placements will be determined by your skills and aspirations as well as the demands of the business. In every case, expect real work from the word go, from preparing reports to examining operating costs, looking at forecasts to getting involved in major projects. You could even find yourself on a specialist placement in our Tax, Derivative or Investments team.
We want you to get a comprehensive grounding in the business of energy, which is why we place you in so many different roles. What’s more, the programme’s structured in a way that will meet all of the practical requirements of your CIMA qualification over the three years.
